These Hard drives meet
the IDE 2.5 inch standards for laptops.
If your computer is a 486 or a 386 you might have a hard time getting the BIOS to
recognize the new hard disk. Almost all Pentium Class laptops will "see" the new
hard disk and will let you partition and format it.
Remember: you are purchasing a blank Hard disk, make sure you back up your data and you
have a way to boot and install software.
Some computer manufacturers place the HDD in a HDD case specific to a laptop, or a series
of laptops. You are purchasing from us a bare drive that might need to be installed in the
case your laptop uses.
Due the very large number of laptop models we can not include Hard Disk installation
instructions with the product. Make sure you know where your original HDD is. |
